MARS is committed to advancing the basic understanding of memory function, structure, and disease through conducting advanced cognitive, clinical, and neuroscience research.

A primary goal of MARS is to advance the basic understanding of memory function, structure, and disease through conducting advanced cognitive, clinical, and neuroscience research.

Research at MARS focuses on the following:

  • evaluating treatment efficacy

  • developing more sensitive tests to detect early dementia

  • developing cognitive assessments for that are tailored for specific drug effects. 

  • investigating the application and effectiveness of memory skills training

  • improving the quality of life of those with dementia

MARS conducts all stages of research, from designing the initial studies, to creating the cognitive and clinical assessments, to data analysis and interpretation, and report writing.
