At MARS, we are dedicated to finding effective means for improving the quality of life of those with memory impairment.
At MARS, we are investigating the application and effectiveness of memory skills training for memory-impaired individuals. Dementia, and even Mild Cognitive Impairment, can have a profound effect on those with the impairment as well as their family and friends. Systems for teaching effective memory compensation strategies have the potential to improve the quality of life of those suffering from dementia.
In addition to researching the effectiveness of various memory compensation strategies, MARS will be investigating the relation between quality of life and different dementia treatments. At MARS, we understand the importance of treatment to quality of life. We are therefore making a concentrated effort to determine which treatments have a significant impact on quality of life.
